AhlulBayt News Agency: In a phone call on Monday, Iranian diplomat Abbas Araghchi and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed recent regional developments following the end of Israel’s military aggression against Iran.
According to IRNA, Araghchi highlighted the widespread international condemnation of Israel’s actions—particularly from Islamic nations and key regional organizations—but criticized the failure of two major international bodies, the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency, to denounce the attack. He also stressed Iran’s intensified diplomatic efforts to officially label Israel as the aggressor and hold it accountable for compensating the damages caused.
Expressing relief at the cessation of the Israeli aggression, the Egyptian foreign minister reiterated his country’s commitment to easing regional tensions, including efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza.
